Samantha

20 years ago I came to work alongside my Mum Delia having completed a Psychology BSc degree at Nottingham University. As a family we have always had a great love for all animals and have taken in many furry companions needing a home over the years including the 6 dogs we currently have. It was this passion for animals that started Delia's idea for Groom & Room after leaving a long career in paediatric nursing.
The hydrotherapy pursuit was born when our German Shepherd Rosie was diagnosed with terrible hip dysplasia. Following corrective orthopaedic surgery, we were advised that she should have hydrotherapy to help with her recovery but there were no such facilities in the area and to travel long distances would have caused more discomfort to her. This was devastating news and led me to research the field of Canine hydrotherapy where I discovered Hawksmoor Training centre. I completed my Level 3 in small animal hydrotherapy. It was now my passion.
Unfortunately it took us 4 years to get our hydrotherapy pool so I was unable to help our dear Rosie but now we are able to help countless others in her memory. We opened our hydrotherapy pool in May 2008 and it has gone from strength to strength.
In April 2019 we took the plunge and expanded our rehabilitation services to include a brand new state of the art water treadmill. Myself and the team look forward to welcoming you to the centre soon!

Emma

I joined the CCHC team in April 2019,  I have been working as a Canine Hydrotherapist for nearly 13 years. Having worked as a Project Manager in the scientific and environmental industry, I happened upon a chance opportunity to manage and promote a newly opened Canine Hydrotherapy Centre. I worked alongside a Veterinary Physiotherapist whilst completing my qualification in Small Animal Hydrotherapy in 2012. The Centre grew from strength to strength and so too did my passion for working in Hydrotherapy. I wanted to broaden my skills in rehabilitation so, in 2014, I joined a Veterinary Centre working on the aquatic treadmill. During my time working alongside a busy orthopaedic team, I gained my qualification in advanced aquatic treadmill and also trained with the College of Animal Physiotherapy to qualify as a Canine Massage Therapist.
I am the proud owner of a lovably bonkers Briard, Ellie. She is my constant companion and enjoys nothing more than a good run out with me, trying to round me up along the way! Hydrotherapy, both pool and treadmill, helped her learn to swim and recover after injury inflicted by one of many "mad half hours!" It now provides an outlet to expend her boundless energy and have some fun!
Joining Sam and the team has been amazing. Being able to offer both pool and treadmill treatment means we can help even more dog's enjoy an improved quality of life. I love getting to know each and every dog, and owner, and helping them on their journey. I can honestly say I love my job!

Daniel

I have always had a passion for animals from a very young age, following school I went on to complete a BTEC Animal Management course at college and then a BSC (Hons) degree in Animal Behaviour at Liverpool John Moores University.
Since completing my degree I have worked within the animal industry across various roles including boarding kennels and catteries, groomers and even in zoos before gaining my qualification in small animal hydrotherapy at Whitehouse Centre in 2015 and subsequently furthering my studies at Greyfriars completing the Advanced Water Treadmill certificate in 2016.
I have spent the last 3 and a half years working in a very busy Vet referral practice gaining lots of experience and developing my skill set helping countless dogs (and a few cats!) with their rehabilitation.
In April 2019 I feel lucky to be joining the Cheshire Canine Hydrotherapy family and look forward to meeting you all and helping your furry friends lead a more active and pain free life.
